Evening with Great Friends at Chilli Willi's

May 15, 2009

Today was crazy, yet fun day for me! Pathways hosted our 3rd Annual “Pathways to Bright Futures” Golf Scramble at the Hidden Cove Golf Course in Grayson, KY. This was my baby to plan so I needed a much deserved Night Out to celebrate this accomplishment! Where did we go, you ask? Uh, Chilli Willi’s since it just rocks on SO many levels!

Boyd and Greenup Champions Meeting a.k.a. My Bridal Shower

May 12, 2009

Today was a very neat-o surprise. I arrived to my Champions meeting way before meeting time since I was having the meeting catered by Texas Roadhouse. However, when I get there, I notice familiar cars in the parking lot and I begin to wonder why they are there so early. I arrive to the ‘Group Room’ where our meeting is held and its locked. I knock on the door and Brenda Hale answers the door and says, “Who is it?” I respond with, “It’s me, Brooke.” And she replies back with, “What are you here for?” “Um, our champions meeting,” I said. About that time, she opens the door and her, Ruth Ellen Chaney and Vicki Caniff had prepared the ‘Group Room’ for my bridal shower! Here are some of the highlights from this awesome day! I immediately called Brad after the shower to spread the good news and his first questions was, “What did we get?” That’s my boy!

Me, the cake and present table. Everything was such a surprise!

Thank you you to Brenda, Ruth Ellen and Vicki for their excellent planning skills!

What pretty wrapping...this present ended up being some of glassware from Macy's.

On December 19, Brooke, Brad, Carson, Sherry, Cathy and Bruce ventured to Cincinnati, Ohio for the awesome wedding of Amy Griffith and Paul Conn on December 20th. Both very dear friends of mine from my childhood and into the present day. Everything was perfect for their special and we were so thankful we could share in their fun. Just check out some of our featured pictures and see if we had fun or not... one guess, hmmm....."YEAH!!!"

We survived our trip...Part 1

After traveling 15 hours both ways with two dogs and Brad in tow, I can safely say we survived, NO, better yet, I survived! Actually, the trip wasn't that tricky at all. As I mentioned in a previous blog, we had make arrangements to stay with Brad's sister, Julie in Atlanta on the way down and back. We made two stops going down and three on the way back. Our trip included: going on our boat and witnessing dolphins up close, taking the dogs to the doggie beach twice, watching the sunset on the beach, and eating endless amounts of food and of course seafood! They say "pictures are worth a thousand words," so I will just hush now! Enjoy the pictures!!!
